City Swim Meet - Part 1 CAYDEN!!...

We finished up our regular swim meet season and then all the teams meet for the "City Swim Meet".  Tons of kids, mass confusion, had to be there at 7:15 AM and it was all ready hot when we got there.  Both boys decided that they were going to swim the 100 IM.  If you remember from last year, Colton swam it and came in 3rd.  Finishing this one race is huge much less placing.  I was concerned that Cayden would get tired and also forget or not do the correct strokes.  They start out swimming 25M Butterfly (one length of the pool), then immediately 25M Backstroke, then 25M Breast Stroke and they finish with 25M of Free Style).  This is NONSTOP and Cayden is 5.  Heck he just learned some of these strokes at the beginning of June so this is huge. I'll start out with his pictures of the event. I couldn't be prouder of him for deciding to swim the 100IM, for finishing the race AND for placing 4th!!!!!

  He was so proud of himself and we are so proud of him for doing this hard race at such a young age.  He placed 4th which was amazing.  (Colton did this race for the first time last year and was a year older than Cayden is now and Colton came in 3rd).  They better look out next year, Cayden will be a tough competitor.
