July 4th (Part 2)...Slippery When Wet Concert....

It's not a big stretch to say that this was my favorite part of the weekend and I think it was Colton's too.  For those Non-Bon Jovi fans (shocking to me that there are people like that - hehe), "Slippery When Wet" is the title of one of their albums AND it's also the name of my favorite Bon Jovi Tribute Band.  They play all of Bon Jovi's music and the lead singer and lead guitar player definitely resemble Jon and Richie.  My friend Lucy calls the lead singer - Faux-Jovi.  His real name is Jason and he's a very nice guy.  ANYWAY, Neal and I took Colton and Tess to the concert.  It started at 7pm with fireworks following it.

Ok, if you squint a little bit and focus on the Superman tatoo which the REAL Jon also has, he does look like Jon Bon Jovi.  Jason (Faux-Jovi) got his tatoo in the exact same shop that the REAL Jon Bon Jovi did.  (Just a bit of band trivia for you).

Colton LOVED it.  Maybe more than I did.  This was his 2nd time seeing "Slippery When Wet" and he was singing along and dancing with every song.  After "You Give Love A Bad Name", Jason (Faux-Jovi) motioned  Colton over and "fist bumped him".  Colton later told me that was his favorite part of the show.  He was so cute!  We kept inching closer and closer and by the end of the concert we had the crowd all standing behind us at the front of the stage.  Fun night with great music followed by some really good fireworks.
